Alarmed Nation what up?!
Sunday’s show was insane. We had Queen Nadine back on the show. You might remember her from last Thanksgiving when she filled in for Mr. L. She returned to promote her soap business, Blue Bee Bars (www.bluebeebars.com). It was all part of our Black Business Month celebration.
Speaking of which, in keeping with his pledge to patronize black designers and clothing stores, Charlie Biggs once again played a shirt he bought at Nicholas (570 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY), this time it was a black number with pictures of famous freedom fighters such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and Huey P. Newton.
We doubled up on the guests by also having Athenia Rodney on the show. She is the wife of the Demolition Crew’s own DJ Basiq, and she runs an event planning business called Umoja Events (www.umojaevents.com). She also organizes the Demolition Crew’s annual Juneteenth event, so be on the lookout for that.
Miss O’s production company, Boxed Out Productions, completed its successful run of its play, Love Questionmark, at the Cabrini Theater in Washington Heights Sunday night. She’d like to thank everyone who came out to support her, and look out for what she does next. It’s gonna be crazy.
This Sunday we’ve got two guests lined up. Ty Brown of Big Deal Prints is scheduled to stop by, and Sherise Cunningham-Patterson of Simply to Empower is also planning to stop by. It all goes down this Sunday at 1:00 pm EST on live.alarmedshow.com and tv.alarmedshow.com. Get ALARMED!
